AI Skills

Your Team’s Best Thinking, On Demand

A skill is one focused task, built once, that runs anytime against your live plan. Pre-built or custom-built, so every run holds the same standard.

Repetitive workflows, turned into skills

Both pull from the same plan your team runs everyday: your hierarchy, your fiscal calendar, your actuals. No exports, stale screenshots, or made-up numbers. Ask a question and get an answer your team can trust.

Judgement Built In

A Skill isn’t a shortcut or a macro. It’s a workflow with judgement baked in - one that reads live data, applies your team’s logic and produces something you can act on

Shared Across the Team

Once it’s built, anyone on your team can run it. The methodology that used to depend on one person’s availability becomes permanent, shared capability.

Reusable Across Context

Add arguments to make Skills reusable across regions, seasons or categories. The same Skill that runs your Women’s Monday recap can run Footwear’s with one parameter change.
Native Planning Logic

Custom Skills

Skills built around your team’s workflows

Every planning org has a senior planner whose methodology everyone else is trying to replicate. The way they structure a variance recap. The order they check allocation exceptions. The questions they always ask before a buy meeting.
Write it once and share accross your team. It plans its own steps, pulls live data from your plan, applies your team’s rules, and hand back a structured output, a readout, a risk list, a recommendation set, ready to act on.

How Custom Skills Work

Both pull from the same plan your team runs everyday: your hierarchy, your fiscal calendar, your actuals. No exports, stale screenshots, or made-up numbers. Ask a question and get an answer your team can trust.

01

Judgement Built In

A Skill isn’t a shortcut or a macro. It’s a workflow with judgement baked in - one that reads live data, applies your team’s logic and produces something you can act on

02

Publish your skill

Save it to your team's Skills library or keep it for yourself. When you're ready to share, anyone on your team can run it. No training or handoff needed. Your process becomes everyone's process in one step.

03

It gets better over time

The more Skills you build, the more of your process lives in the platform. Onboarding gets faster. Coverage stops depending on who’s online. Outputs are consistent by design.

Turns skills into action

From insights to action. Work that took weeks now takes minutes with Toolio agents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to code to build a custom skill?

No. Skills are written in plain English inside the Skill editor in Tooli. You describe the workflow, set the parameters, and save it. If you can write a planning brief, you can build a Skill.

How do I know the output is accurate?

Every Skill pulls from the live state of your Toolio plan — your actuals, your hierarchy, your fiscal calendar. The output is the same numbers your team would pull manually. You can click through to the underlying data at any time to verify what drove the result.

What if our planning process is different from the pre-built skills?

The pre-built Skills cover the workflows most planning teams run every week. If your process looks different — different metrics, different hierarchy, different cadence — you can fork a starter Skill and tailor it, or build one from scratch that reflects exactly how your team works.

Who owns the Skill once it's built? Does it disappear if that person leaves?

No. Skills live in the platform, not in a person's account. Once a Skill is saved to your team's library, anyone on your team can find it, run it, and build on it, regardless of who built it originally.

Can different teams or categories use the same Skill?

Yes. Skills accept named arguments: region, season, category, and channel so the same Skill can run a Women's readout one week and a Footwear readout the next without rebuilding anything. One Skill, any context.
